TriVision was proud to attend yet another meeting of the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Titans of Industry Breakfast Series as the Creative Marketing and Media Production Sponsor. This past Tuesday, members of the NVTC gathered at the Ritz Carlton in Tyson’s Corner to hear Frank Kendall, Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics for the U.S. Department of Defense, discuss the necessity for local technology companies to participate in the defense community regarding energy, security, weapon development, and workforce improvement.
Mr. Kendall has served as the Undersecretary of Defense for AT&L since 2012. Bringing in 40 years of experience, Mr. Kendall manages all matters regarding materiel readiness, research and development, contract administration, etc. Prior to his appointment, he served both in the private sector, and held the position of Director of Tactical Warfare Programs in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the position of Assistant Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Strategic Defense Systems.
At while at the podium, Mr. Kendall spoke in detail on the need for the United States to maintain its military superiority through strategic investments in private technology companies, and understanding the difference between simply having the availability of resources, and the availability of resources to help drive innovation, and emphasizing that the virtue of America is that we are “self-correcting.”
TriVision participated in the pre-breakfast networking event interacting with fellow members of the NVTC, and the winners of the 2015 Destination Innovation competition regading responsive web development and proper branding strategies to help get maximum popular exposure of their products and services. We look forward to next month’s event where Avi Reichental will explain how 3D printing will revolutionize industry. We hope to see you there!
