A DC Marketing Agency is Increasing Veteran Awareness and Enrollment through Video Production

Did you know that TriVision has been producing a monthly cable show for the Department of Veterans Affairs since 2012?

Veterans Health Watch is a monthly television program shown on cable networks across Maryland and parts of Delaware. The show, sponsored by the VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS), provides information on health care benefits and services available to veterans and their family members. The primary objective of the program is to create an engaging outreach tool that informs Veterans in Maryland about these services, creating awareness and increasing Veteran enrollment.

Video Production at Our Studio

In early 2012, when the show wanted to upgrade its video production, they reached out to TriVision to facilitate. Since then, we have worked closely with VAMHCS to produce the show monthly in the TriVision Baltimore studio, or sometimes on-location. A recent episode was specifically dedicated to female veterans while another one went on-site to the hospital to interview the new director of the department. The show often features locations and resources that are available to veterans of all branches in the U.S military.

Working closely with representatives of the VAMHCS during all facets of production, TriVision provides HD multi-camera studio services, as well as on-site video productions at remote locations such as the Baltimore VA Medical Center.  Additionally, TriVision provides all post-production and editing services which initially included giving the program a makeover by implementing motion graphics and animation, creating an updated look and feel to reflect the high quality of the content and production. In 2014, we also upgraded the show’s look and feel with the implementation of a custom set design, adding a much needed contemporary refresh.

In addition to the video production of the monthly program, TriVision has also produced over 10 Public Service Announcements (PSAs) which run during the show and have also been disseminated to several TV stations across Maryland. The PSAs also serve as a valuable outreach, awareness, and education tool, covering subjects from “How to Enroll” and “Volunteering” to “Pharmacy Services” and “Flu Vaccine Awareness”.

Not too long ago, the Veterans Health Watch celebrated its 100th episode. Watch the video below for a clip of this celebratory milestone that was filmed in Baltimore.

Based on the success of the program and confidence in TriVision’s continued work since 2012, the VA contracted TriVision in late 2013 to produce the program for another 5 years through 2018. We are proud to take part in this initiative to build awareness and provide media outreach to US military veterans!
